Dr. Gabriel Nascimento is a Brazilian linguist, writer, and activist.

He is Associate professor of Language Studies at Federal University of Southern Bahia (UFSB). He holds a Ph.D. in Language studies from the University of São Paulo. He served as a Visiting scholar at the University of Pennsylvania (2019), King’s College London (2023), and University of South Australia (2023). He is now Visiting Professor and Fulbright scholar at the Pennsylvania State University. He is also the chair of the international affairs office at UFSB.

In 2019, among other publications, Gabriel published “Linguistic racism: the undergrounds of language and race”
